Speaking of bands that skimp on the US, the Arkells finally released their second album state side. I think it's been available in Canada for a few months, now. Still, it took less time for Michigan Left to arrive than it did for their first album, Jackson Square to show up, so I'll take it. It's available on iTunes and Amazon, now.

I just discovered what's probably going to be my favorite new band of the year: The Lumineers. A cross between Mumford & Sons and The Head & the Heart.

Their debut album's $5 right now on Amazon, $3 if you buy in through the Android phone app.

Really digging the new Matt Skiba side project. Also really liking The Scissors, which I just discovered, though their album came out last year. New Bouncing Souls album soon, which is a Woot!

The Heartbreaks - Funtimes came out this past Monday. Don't believe it is out in the US though unfortunately. Album of the year for me so far (although Biffy Clyro still has their new album coming at the end of the summer so we shall see if it holds the spot)
