I think they're hustling those out of there quickly enough to get TDKR on all those screens. I'd be shocked if they didn't.

But overall, I agree. Is DKR even in 3D?

I could see it opening with something like 170-180 million, and then playing solidly through September. Meanwhile, once Avengers has essentially a free week with only Dark Shadows, the summer barrage starts.

Dark Shadows comes out this Friday and I honestly don't think it's going to do that good. At least not enough to take the #1 spot for the week. Don't know how well MiB3 and Battleship will do.

Avengers will handle Dark Shadows easily. Battleship may have a chance of knocking it off in its third week, but it's a crapshoot. MIB3 will easily handle its fourth week, though. MIB will probably do at least 90M its opening weekend.

Now, yeah, but in 1999 countless people went to see Wing Commander for the Phantom Menace trailer and left. I was one of them.

Of course, Wing Commander and Avengers are so far from each other it's not even funny.

If dc could ever pull it off and bring a well done JL movie it would potentially blow everything else previously out of the water. As much as I personally love the marvel u dc still has the most iconic characters in all of comics and pop culture. Superman batman alone are so well recognized throughout the world it could be historic a movie of that proportion.

A scene where Batman takes down Superman in a fight would be the greatest action scene and moment ever in a Blockbuster movie. If done right, of course.

It would be cool, but the people in charge of the franchises don't seem to want it to happen. There appears to be the feeling that Batman and Superman crossing over would dilute each of the respective franchises. So there is a reluctance to pull the trigger on it.

And if they can't find a way to work out a Batman/Superman movie, then we'll never get a JLA movie because there's no way they'll do a JLA movie without Batman and Superman in it.
