I don't really like Hunger Games, but everywhere I'm looking has the buzz through the roof.

Yeah Prometheus could be this year's Inception, but Ridley doesn't really have box office power currently like Nolan has, and also this movie doesn't really have a big star like Leo. It feels more like a District 9 than an Inception. It looks to be hard scifi, and my random nerd gauge tells me that chicks won't care to go see it.

John Carter isn't REAL pixar, in people's minds. I think it will end up being this year's Prince of Persia, wherein it looks exciting enough with big set pieces and a sexy lead, but ehhh..

The LOTR trilogy is already a classic, and worldwide is massively popular. I'd be shocked if the Hobbit didn't pull in the most money.

It's a smaller scale film, plus not as many big stars. It's basically X-men First Class. It'll be great, but without Wolverine...

X-men had Mags, Xavier, and Mystique to bridge the gap too.

In an effort to continue to talk out of my ass... if you polled non-Tolkien fanboys who liked the LOTR films about which character they'd wanna see in future LOTR movies, it wouldn't be "that old guy back when he was young". Plus all the heroes are ugly lookin' dwarves, no humans or sexy elves kicking ass (in the average joe's eyes).
