I don't see the X-Men accosting the FF when Galactus or Annihilus comes knocking.

Because the FF are ready and willing to help them deal with the threat.

Reed isn't keeping Galactus holed up in their secret compound until he gets hungry because why not?

Why would the FF want the X-Men's help with Galactus? If Galactus puts on a red wig Cyclops will start worshipping him and let him consume the Earth.

Whoa whoa whoa, when did Cyclops ever give the indication that he wants a world where mutants are in charge of everything? He just wants his people to not be a persecuted minority anymore, but he can't focus on goodwill missions to the human world when mutantkind is down to its last 300 +/- members and could be completely wiped out with one well planned attack.

It's in the comics Read 'em.

I mean, let's not forget that these Avengers who are suddenly so concerned with the X-Men's affairs were 9 times out 10 nowhere to be found when the shit was going down. Why should Cyclops trust them?

He even said so himself, the only time the Avengers care about the affairs of mutantkind is when it directly effects them, any other time, it's business as usual.

X-Men #90 - July 1999

FF 257 begins with Galactus, the world devourer, on the verge of death. After a period of fasting because of the moral implications of eating populated worlds, he loses energy and even begins conversing with Death, his "sister, daughter, mother, and wife". He sends out Nova, his then-present herald, to search for ANY sustanance, inhabited world or not. There is a brief introspection on Nova's part as she considers her feelings for her master, then some action scenes as she easily shatters the Skrull's defenses.

The crux of the issue has Galactus going to work, doing what he does best -- and satisfyingly well. This is what I expect to see when a planet in the Marvel universe dies. Bloated, Galactus lies like a beached whale as he digests his meal.

X-Men 90 centers more around the Galactus story from the X-Men's point of view, as they have travelled back in time. The story waives past the Galactus hunger strike and opens with the scenes with Nova, but this time from the Skrull's point of view. Professor X tries to stop Galactus by projecting the dying souls of an entire race against the World Devourer, but his efforts are wasted. Galactus cannot be stopped, and history is not changed.

So, the X-men, as usual, decide to tinker with time and reality to rewrite history.

Not content enough to contribute when events actually occur, they decide to retroactively try to alter time without letting anyone else know.

The X-Men do not cooperate or even attempt to work with anyone other than mutants. Look at what happened with Secret War.. they go off and try to form their own secret compound and try to win favor with the Beyonder rather than stop the bad guys. Yet another example of an attempt to create a mutant paradise at the expense of others.

If an army were to show up on the doorstep of another country, uninvited, ARMED, then precede to make demands about things. How do you think that country (ANY country) would react to this?

Hell, can you imagine if someone did that to America? The uproar there would be?

Imagine if an army decided to set up shop in Utopia, uninvited, armed and proceed to make demands about things. How do you think the mutants would react to this?

Cause that's essentially what they did to the US. You didn't see the US launch a nuke or threaten them.
