    Booster Gold TV series?

I'll admit it, never would have seen THAT coming. Not with a Smallville Green Arrow that could easily take over the audience from a hit show around. :3

It's not a bad premise for a TV show. It's certainly as self-contained as it wants to be -- Booster's origin isn't necessarily dependent on any other heroes' (the Legion ties can be easily gerericized) -- but can also participate in a larger universe, if that's the plan.

Hmm. No word on if they'll recast, or if it will share continuity with Smallville, eh?

My guess is, if the Booster from Smallville isn't already attached and announced, they're recasting the part.

Since, when they tried to do an Aquaman series by the same producers, they recast and ignored Smallville continuity, I highly doubt they would maintain continuity here. And good riddance, really. that episode was horrific.

Booster seems incredibly complicated for a TV show, honestly.

    I mean,

Superman: Alien who comes to Earth and helps people because he's a good guy.

Batman: Dark Knight who fights crime, avenging wrongs.

Wonder Woman: Amazon who comes to "Man's World" to fight evil and help people.

    Booster? OK. I got nothing.

That guy who played Aquaman was terrible.

(Sorry if you're reading this, man.)

I may be utterly wrong, but I seem to remember that THAT Aquaman was Justin Hartley, aka. Green Arrow.

Booster Gold: Washed up jock comes from the future for fame and fortune, sometimes helps people.

I think Booster Gold is ideal for television, because he's a bit more complex. He's a long arc character. That's good. audiences like seeing characters grow and change in a positive direction. Plus, his origin isn't really THAT complex. It can easily be explained in an hour long pilot.

The only difficulty I foresee is making sure that there is something likable about him right from the start, otherwise people won't want to stick around for the character growth. They'll have to be very careful with the casting also.

Wait, I was talking about the Aquaman from the actual "Smallville" episode. That was Alan Ritchson, I think.

Hmm, Maybe. I don't quite see it, but I guess we'll see. I will watch it, that's for sure.
