    Blaze Of Glory is good.

I bought the trade of it five years ago almost to the day (I recall because it was a relatives birthday) along with its companion trade, Apache Skies.

I haven't read them since that time, but I recall enjoying both.

Somerset Holmes is pretty good! Started it as a kid, grew out of comics before it ended, finally re-got it all not too long ago. Bruce Jones was petty great.

REALLY wanna hear what you think of Marshal Law. I had never read any of it up until a month ago, now I'm kinda fascinated by it.
Yeah, what ever happened to Bruce Jones?

I'll report back on Marshal Law.

I have his first few issues, then I skipped around some and had some of the Flex appearances. The missing stuff is always on my want list.

I have a *great* collection! I have everything I really want by my favorite creators, and so you guys just see the oddball stuff I get nowadays!

I figured these were just the odd additions to your collection so seeing Morrison DOOM PATROL and FLEX MENTALLO surprised me.

Yeah, I kept putting it off, I think because I couldn't justify the Flex prices and was waiting for the HC all these years. When the HC arrived and was re-colored, it lit a fire sorta.

But yeah, the stuff I get now are mostly goofy or character-centric. I've worked through my favorite creators, now I either find stragglers, or stuff by creators that are new to me, or cheesy stuff.

Fellas, so, based on y'all's toxic influences, I am considering getting some more Masterworks. Now, the three I'm eyeing I don't think I can get all at once, so I'm looking for some boosting.

I'm thinking of getting either the

    Jungle Action Black Panther book

    Or

X-Men Vol. 7 and Vol. 8 (crossovers and solo appearances)

    Weigh in!

Ah! From what I know of you, I think the Panther book would be a better fit. It's a big beast of a book, and they did a great job. A Don McGregor masterpiece. If you get the variant "marble" cover, it's a really deep blue that looks amazing.

    As for the X-Men books...

Well, I don't have either of them. I do want them, but there are other volumes I want more. Volume 7 is very Beast-centric, and I've always been curious to read those. I bet it's not the wise-cracking Beast I want it to be. Volume 8 are all the guest-starring issues from the "hidden years", and these all look interesting too. I do hope to get all these in other Masterwork lines, though. That's years away in some cases.

So I dunno! All three of 'em are getting hard to find, though.

    This is my concern.

See, I'm five issues away from having all the Black Panther JA issues, but the Masterworks looks so nice (I'll probably order from cheapgraphicnovels.com, which unfortunately doesn't have the variant), I'm tempted.

I'm actually super-geeked for the X-Men books, as I only have a few of those issues (and it's an expensive era) — and I really, really, really want to check that Beast arc. My first introduction to the X-Men was the Spectacular Spider-Man treasury, which was an MTU comp, and that time holds a certain allure for me.

I may try to get all three and force my kids to eat Ramen — even the infant.
