...when I found a human tooth down on Delancey?
Hey, remember that time we decided to kiss anywhere except the mouth?
Hey, remember that time when my favorite colors was pink and green?
Hey, remember that month when I only ate boxes of tangerines?
(So cheap and JUICY! Tangerines -)
Hey, remember that time when I would only read Shakespeare?
Hey, remember that other time when I would only read the backs of cereal boxes?
Hey, remember that time I tried to save a pigeon with a broken wing?
(A street cat got him by morning and I had to bury pieces of his body in my building's playground.
I thought I was gonna be sick.
I thought I was gonna be...)
Hey, remember that time when I would only smoke Parliaments?
Hey, remember that time when I would only smoke Marlboros?
Hey, remember that time when I would only smoke Camels?
Hey, remember that time when I was broke -
I didn't care I just bummed from my friends?
(Bum-ba-bum-ba-bum-bum,
bum-ba-bum-ba-bum-bum)
(Hey, remember that time when you ODd...?
Hey, remember that other time when you ODd for the second time?
Well, in the waiting room while waiting for news of you I hallucinated I could read your mind -
- and I was on a lot of shit too, but what I saw, man, I tell you it was fre-ee-ee-ee-eaky...
...fre-ee-ee-ee-eaky!)

This thread is my fault, everyone. i burned her new copies of our Regina Spektor CDs. I suspect it's all she's been listening to this week.
My little sister played Samson at her year 10 farewell concert (in my home town years 11 and 12 are in a separate school).
Also: Samson makes me cry, but not because she played it.
Out of Control
Everyone says sooner or later you'll reach the end of the line
When things get rough some think it's easy to jump the ship . . .
You decide
I say--don't throw it away
There's about a million reasons why
Though you've heard them all before
And you're getting very tired
Lay your head on my lap and I'll sing you this lullaby
CHORUS
Don't you know
That everyone around you
Has felt the pain you feel today
You're out of control yeah--and you want someone to tell you
When you wake up in the morning it'll only be a dream
You're out of control . . .
There's a cloud-rollin' overhead and it seems to rain on no one else
There's a black sun--casting a black shadow,
and I know you feel so all alone
You're out of control--and you want the world to love you
Or maybe you just want a chance to let them know
That you live and breathe and suffer
And your back is in the corner and you've got nowhere to go
Nothin' for nothin'--everything's right at your fingertips--for a price
Who ever said that life on this planet would ever be paradise
I say--don't throw it away, you've got too many things to say
If you throw your life, if you throw away your life . . .
THe world will never be the same
CHORUS
You're out of control--and you move without direction
And people look right through your soul
You're out of control--and you want someone to tell you
When you wake up in the morning it'll only be a dream
And I wish that I could tell you, it'll only be a dream
'...while she sings she make them feel things, she says: "I can sing this song so blue,
that you will cry in spite of you - little wet tears on your baby's shoulder, little wet tears on your baby's shoulder"
Lady lights a cigarette, puffs away, no regret - takes a look around, no regrets, no regrets...
...stretches out like branches of a poplar tree, she says, "I'm free",
sings so soft as if she'll break, says, "I can sing this song so blue, that you will cry in spite of you -
little wet tears on your baby's shoulder, little wet tears on your baby's shoulder -
I have walked these streets so long, there ain't nothing right, nothing wrong -
but the little wet tears on my baby's shoulder, the little wet tears on your baby's shoulder..."'
Power to the people
We don't want it
We want pleasure
And the T.V.s try to rape us
And I guess that they're succeeding
And we're going to these meetings
But we're not doin' any meetin'
And we're trying to be faithful but we're cheatin', cheatin', cheatin'
I'm the hero of the story
Don't need to be saved
I'm the hero of the story
Don't need to be saved
I'm the hero of the story
Don't need to be saved
I'm the hero of the story
Don't need to be saved
It's al-right, it's al-right, it's al-right, it's al-right
It's al-right, it's al-right, it's al-right
It's al-right, it's al-right, it's al-right
It's al-right, it's al-right, it's al-right
No one's got it all
No one's got it all
No one's got it all
What a sight for my eyes to see you in sleep.
Could've startled the sunrise hearing you weep.
You're not seen, you're not heard
but I stand by my word.
Came a thousand miles
just to catch you while you're smiling.
What a day for laughter and walking at night.
Me following after, your hand holding tight.
And the memory stays clear with the song that you hear.
If I can but make the words awake the feeling.
What a reason for waiting and dreaming of dreams.
So here's hoping you've faith in impossible schemes,
that are born in the sigh of the wind blowing by
while the dimming light brings the end to a night of loving.
