It feels like DC is telling me...

Okay, as I've mentioned here previously, I'm a fan of Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown (among others that have disappeared in the reboot). And when they say things like "maybe they'll show up eventually", what I'm hearing is something along the lines of:

"Keep buying and act like a good little doggie, and maybe we'll throw you a scrap once in a while".

    Screw that.

Apart from Demon Knights (which may not last long anyway), every DC title I'm currently reading has a big question mark hanging over it. I honestly feel that, if I walked away, I wouldn't be missing much.

The problem is that I haven't found anything else to fill the void, yet. Preferably something with strong heroines. Doesn't have to be comics. Any suggestions?

Although I disagree with your premise, since that isn't the point of your thread I will ignore it and suggest The Hunger Games novels by Suzanne Collins, since they are amazing and feature a strong female lead in a fantastic setting, perfect for super-hero fans.

Already read (and loved) them, thanks. I just hope the movie is half as good.

Me too. If you've seen Winter's Bone, I think you'd agree that Katniss is perfectly cast, so that's a good start.

Try Mercedes Lackeys' Heralds of Valdemar books.
Start with Arrows of the Queen and go from there.
Lots of heroes, male and female. Strong characters all around and lots of sword and sorcery to boot.

Yeah, read the Valdemar books several years ago. In fact, I have an ample supply of novels in my to-read pile. I'm really looking for something more visual, whether it be comics, TV, or movies.

Boom Studios Incorruptible and Irredeemable are both excellent. Lots of trades to catch up on.

    You've watched B:TAS, yes?

If you can do a mature rating, I like Artesia.

Didn't Chris Claremont write a book or three with a strong female lead?

I THINK the first book was called First Flight....

It's not really a traditional superhero book and reviews have been mixed, but I've always enjoyed Sidekicks.
