They show Bucky talking to Steve in the preview, so I think that referenced Bucky hunting down other Winter Soldier projects. Can't wait for that book.
They teased it in the arc just prior to Fear Itself, that's why I never bought it.

I accidentally saw it because the app let's you see everything, but I honestly didn't mind.

Zipper Club Chapter 4 by Len Wallace & Brenda Liz Lopez
Spoiler:
I'm glad to see the continuiong story. Seems that these guys are the longest running characters in The Gathering and I'm OK with that. It's nice to see that the range of these characters can fit into so many different themes so fluidly. Romance is what they were seemingly meant for and I love the art style. It's like a Saturday Morning cartoon of my childhood in comic form.
Good Night Jeannie Wherever You Are by Gary Hogan & Blake Sims
Spoiler:
The art printed a little too dark but aside from that, these two are a great team. Blakes style fits remarkably well with Gary's everyman story beats. I enjoy seeing so many different personalities all seeming to share the very same moment together is so many unique ways.
Postcards by Staci Matthews, Lisa Goletz & Aaron Bir
Spoiler:
I can see this as being a movie starring Meg Ryan. A Hollywood story told in just a few pages. Very well done, and with a visible feminine touch. I think it would have been difficult for a male to write a story that felt as honest as this one. I liked Aaron's style with this one as well. The writer/artist pairings have all been great!
Better Late Than Never by Jude Martin
Spoiler:
Two very touching, sad pages. I kept waiting for the happy ending but it wasn't meant to be. The art is very simplistic using only silhouette but works, although I would have loved to have seen more detailed art really bring a deeper connection to the story.
Untitled by Andrea Sparaccio(?)
Spoiler:
I like the story behind this; the underlying idea that love finds you and not the other way around. There were some sublime moments to this one. I could have done without the commercial for Jared () but it helped bring home the ideas of romantic cliche.
Untitled by Aaron Cameron & James Roberts
Spoiler:
Good old Aaron throws a wicked curve ball when it comes to a romantic tale, definitely thinking outside the box on this one. Makes it easy to see that we are all part of a bigger picture. The fourth panel, with the paws lunging for the bone, is one of the best action shots in the whole book.
Green Carnations by Jenny Langin, Amanda Rachels & Kevin LaPorte
Spoiler:
Hands down this story is the star of the book. Expertly written, sweet, funny and honest. THIS is what a romance comic is all about. Amanda's art is beautiful in this. I could read a whole book of this. And Travis made it into the book...awesome! I wanted more than two pages.
I'm skipping a review on Greyhounding for obvious reasons but I'll say this -- Johnny & Travis did a remarkable job on the art. Truly fantastic.
Gut Check by Nick Chervenak, Lee Giles & Robert George
Spoiler:
I enjoyed the swerve on this one. I thought it was going to be a "romance" about a battered wife and it turns out it a sports story! I liked that touch and the art, while dark in some spots, brought this one to life.
I'll Be Home Soon by Jason Snyder & Mike Sumislaski
Spoiler:
I wondered if this one was a true story because it felt so real. Nothing trite, just an honest to goodness story like one that would be passed down from generation to generation. The art was perfect -- gave it a Mad Men feel at the very end - and I loved the details and realism in the art.
Love Hurts by Doug Hahner & Brian Roll
Spoiler:
The CGI style art was great and the romanic spin on a good old fashioned double-cross was cute. The female lead almost telegraphed the punchline to the story with her anger, but after reading it a second time I think it was still done very well.
Three Weeks by Cal Cleary & Arcadio Bolanos
Spoiler:
This reminded me a lot of Johnny's DEcomPRESSIONism webcomic with the overall theme. I just want to know what happened to all of those Sundays!
The Trouble With Curtis by Charles Petrie & Matthew Brown
Spoiler:
Charles had an....odd sense of romance, but who's to say that two electronic devices couldn't find love in the middle of the night while you're trying to sleep. Matthew's art brings a surreal touch to this strange little story and they work well together.
We've Met Before by Pat Loika, Chris Maze & Calix Vincent
Spoiler:
This one is my second favorite story in the book. This story is executed perfectly and the art (reminiscent of the Luna Brothers meets Bill Watterson) is a fantastic compliment. These guys nailed it. It's a true romantic story about second chances & fate and I loved it.
Young Love by Ignacio Segura & Paula Cob
Spoiler:
After reading this one the first time, not knowing whose voice I was reading, I got to the end when the reveal was made and went back and read it a second time. It read better that second time around, knowing who I was "hearing." This is definitely young love. I've felt this before. Anime style is not usually something I like, but it had a great fit for this story.
Farewell by Brian Kalisz & Jude Martin
Spoiler:
Romance shouldn't be about sadness and relationships that are ending, but you know what -- that's sometimes exactly what it's about. Not all romantic stories have happy endings and Brian did a really good job of showing that. I like that Jude used a different style here than in his/her (?) solo story. It's nice to show range like this.
Toilet Troubles & Cupid's Folly by John Coker
Spoiler:
I lol'ed when I saw them before and I lol'ed again when I read them here. Johnny's a master at the one page comic and it shows.

Thanks for the review, Marc. The story wasn't true (at least on a personal level; I'm sure it is for someone out there), but I definitely enjoyed writing this one. Mike is also an amazing talent, and we both have another story coming up in Myth.
