    Has anyone been reading Spider-Island?

Been reading it and enjoying it a lot. It's just sheer comic book-y insanity and it's fun. I just read Spider-Island: Avengers, and for the life of me I want to see the same creative team do a Fabulous Frog-Man mini-series. What's the word from you guys on it?

Re: Has anyone been reading Spider-Island?

I've picked up Spider-Girl, Cloak and Dagger, and the main series from it. No idea why; I hadn't really picked up any Marvel as of late, and I'd never really read Spiderman. The thing that started me was Cloak and Dagger, who I was familiar with from Runaways. I picked that book up cause I was interested, then it just seemed like such a romp of silly fun that was easy enough to follow along with (as opposed to whole line wide cross-overs) that I picked up the main title as well. Its been fun/silly/fantasy. Is it brilliant? Not going to win any awards, no. But comics are supposed to be fun and I think Spider-Island has been capturing that well.

Read the first Issue of The Cloak and Dagger mini. Hopefully when I move I'll be able to get the second and third issue. Have no interest in the event or anything Spider-related (Aside from Ultimate). But I love Cloak and Dagger, wish they were still with the X-Clan though.

Cloak and Dagger has been good so far. I'm loving the art.

Yeah, I wish they were too, it was the most forward movement they had in a long time.

Btw is that avatar of the rival from Pokemon Black and White?

Yeah, I get that they were written out to avaoid being killed during Second Coming but for the first time in a long while they were appearing regularly if only in minor roles.

    Yeah, It's Cheren.

I still am very very sad that Vanisher got offed. Anyone who read X-Force knows why.

As for that, frankly I hope they get reintroduced down the line. The idea of them being one of a buzillion urban vigilantes is just unappealing to me.

To paraphrase Yost "We did not see the body..." I'm hoping he made his way back to his favourite Brothel and recuperated.

Yeah, I really thought they had a lot of potential in the X-Crowd. If the mini leads to an Ongoing by Spencer, I can deal though with them just being Street Heroes.

Yes, its very good. It may be the best crossover-event Marvel has done in years. Its old-school, in all the right ways, but original at the same time.

I agree that Frog Man was kinda... awesome. The next Squirrel Girl!

It shows why Slott was a great choice for Spidey (and everyone writing on these crossover issues has followed suit). He prioritizes the idea that comics are supposed to be FUN. This whole event is damn fun.

I'm reading Cloak&Dagger(are we detecting a pattern yet?), and it's great. I just love the 2 of them together.
