Laurenn did the excellent QUIT CITY one-shot with Warren Ellis a few years back, which you'll have to either hunt down as a single issue or snag as part of the compilation (Amazon for used copies here). She also worked with Matt Wagner on issue 25 of the late lamented Madame Xanadu Vertigo series, collected in the Extra-Sensory TPB (Amazon here).

Thank you for this! I didn't realise that about Madame Xanadu. I have the first 3 volumes, but didn't get the 4th one yet. Thanks for the links re. the Ellis/McCubbin comic, too.

I have the full run in single issues. Not that I also bought an Anglo-Saxon dictionary to go with it or anything. Not that I'm dragging it to the next con Wagner's going to be at to get a sketch of Nimue in it or anything.

(Not that I'm loving the hell out of Demon Knights or anything, either. Paul Cornell's serving up some great women in that book, between Nimue, Exoristos the Amazon, and the Shining Knight.)

i want to post a picture of hulk punching wong in the face but i don't know if i can. so just picture it. with your minds.

two panels, just past hulk's shoulder and arm. in the first, wong, having opened the front door to the sanctum, looks suprised--

then in a fixed POV shot right below it, hulk's giant fist is pushing him back inside by the face.

Caught a Ryden show, maybe 5 years ago, in Santa Ana. It was disturbingly wonderful. Also saw his "The Creatrix" (see below) at "In The Land of Retinal Delights - The Juxtapoz Factor" at the museum in Laguna Beach in 2009. Must admit that Todd Schorr's "Ape Worship" took my breath away.
