I'm not much for outlining novels, but if I have too many cool ideas and can't decide what to work on next, I write the first chapter of each one. See which gets me most excited.

I've generally found outlining helps me best, largely because it makes me plan out the end. The outlines are usually really soft about the middle, to give me wiggle room, but I've found that I do my best work when I know where the story ends and begins. They also keep me on track, otherwise, I tend to meander a bit and can lose track of what I'm after.

I might try picking up Scrivener, though, as I hear good things about that.

Now that I can do cool moderator stuff like edit subject headings, I edited my earlier thread to include artists.

So, let's move this to the top and see what everyone here is working on. I know not everybody is creating a comic or webcomic or novel or whatever, but many of us are.

What are you writing/drawing at the moment? (Links to your work totally welcome, but maybe not too many - I think that might get you stuck in moderation.)

I just finished the lettering pass for my Oni Book! All the line art is finished and it's off to the colorist. It's a monster of a book at 155 pages titled Odd Schnozz & the Odd Squad.

I also curate and provide content for www.TripCity.net, Dean Haspiel's Literary and Arts Salon. Here are some of my most recent contributions:
