So recently, we've had Karl Rove warn that Rick Perry is a "right wing extremist" and state that he was offended by the mere idea that he might call America a "Christian Nation."
Is this elaborate performance art? Has the right passed him by? I have to admit, their usual response to setbacks is to accuse anyone who fails of not being conservative enough and then shift to the right so there has been a rightward movement, I'd say.
I'm just puzzled. There's been a long string of moderate sounding comments coming out of Rove's mouth this year.
