I have seen her perform live twice, and she is awesome awesome awesome.

The first time I saw her, she opened up for Erykah Badu. Nobody knew who she was. Nobody danced the Tightrope. But when she sang her rendition of Smile, the whole crowd just got real quiet and listened. It was amazing.

The way she opens up with Dance or Die cloaked with several other cloaked figures, the way she dances, and how she just walked off the stage down the middle aisle in a finish all made for one of the most enjoyable live shows I've ever been to.

I love Janelle.

I listen to her album (and the preceding EP) all the time. She should totally bigger than she is, but I won't complain as long as she keeps making music as solid as The ArchAndroid.

That the second album was done in conjunction with Diddy's Bad Boy records and still came out as good as it did astounds me. He got it pretty decent promotion too.
