Cloud Cult. Fantastic band from Duluth, Minnesota. I rate their latest album Light Chasers up there with Neutral Milk Hotel.

Hey all,
I'm off to Israel for a much needed vacation and was hoping you guys could recommend some music for my trip. In the past the board has always come through with music suggestions and I have a feeling you will again. Any recommendations?
In general I like bands like Counting Crows, Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, Airborne Toxic Event, Postal Service, Portishead, Damien Rice, John Mayer, Mumford and Sons, Florence and the Machine, Death Cab for Cutie, Feist, Audioslave, Pete Yorn, etc.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I'm going to recommend picking up anything and everything from Mr. Mike Doughty. He is, as they say, the bee's knees.
You should also, if you are not already, be listening to the Get Up Kids.
For the mellow parts of the trip, I suggest Devendra Banhart's Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon.

When do you leave? Imma make you a mix tape!
Presumably you own and adore "The '59 Sound" by the Gaslight Anthem. If not, you need it.
(I'm speaking as a fellow Counting Crows fan.)
Robert Randolph and the Family Band, it will be a long flight and this will let you dance in your chair.
