IDW Superduper ultra Artist's Edition thread!!

So we now have two IDW Artist's Editions (Dave Stevens' Rocketeer, and Walter Simonson Thor) with a few on the way. This thread was created with the intent to talk about the current and future Artist's Editions. Maybe some speculations as to what the next ones might be, or if there is one you would want to see. So let's get started!

I missed out on the Rocketeer book when it came out, and there are very few options to getting one now, but for those that have it, how awesome is it? I did get the Thor one on Wednesday and it is beautiful. The only downside is I have nowhere to put it. If IDW continues making these things they better start selling a bookcase for them.

Here's a list of all the ones that are out and the ones that have been announced:

    Dave Stevens' Rocketeer
    Walter Simonson's The Mighty Thor
    Wally Wood's EC Stories
    John Romita Sr's Amazing Spider-man
    Will Eisner's The Spirit

I have never read Stories by Wally Wood but after looking at some pages online the art looks amazing, and I am seriously tempted by that one.

Which ones are you looking forward too, and which ones do you want to see at some point? It looks like we might get two a year.

I got the other Dave Stevens IDW book. Well worth the fifty bucks.

You might be better off waiting for the EC reprints from Fantagraphics, unless you're really interested in seeing the original art as is.

If they can work with the Library of Congress and would do a single issue version, all the art for Amazing Fantasy 15 exists:

I doubt IDW would do it, but Erik Larsen has kept most of his art over the years. Image should mimic the format for a Savage Dragon version.

IDW's website seems like the only option right now because Diamond is out. I posted the link in the first post.

I think a Jack Kirby one needs to be made. Personally I want to see a Fantastic Four but not sure if that's possible.

I remember seeing a show where Stan Lee was given a full isue of FF to peruse that Jack had drawn in which his notes were still intact on the sides of the page. That'd be a fascinating reprint.
