Spider-Men is the first direct crossover between Ultimate and 616, correct?
Er, I guess there was Shattered Dimensions. But the first comic?
I get this all the time. They say, "You really hate Daredevil. Look how mean you are to Daredevil." I'm like, "Would you really buy a book about him enjoying a sandwich? 'What a great sandwich. I'm going to eat this for 22 pages, and I'm going to be so happy.'" I may do it just to prove a point. Have Wolverine going, "This is the best bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich I've ever had in my life!"

So I have all the oversized Ultimate Spidey hardcovers and Ultimate Marvel Team Up. I also have Ultimate Origins as well.
I take it Ultimate Doomsday is also required Bendis' Ultimate Spidey reading?
I really liked it. It doesn't focus so much on Spider-Man as on an ensemble cast, but it's one of the most satisfying crossover type stories I've ever read. It's got plenty of cool twists and concepts you could never do in the mainline comics, and it holds together in the end.
USM #10 was fantastic. The showdown in the middle of that book, the layers involved, the way the plot is unraveling, the relationships this book is exploring... Bendis is doing some of the best work of his career here. As much as I loved Peter Parker, as much as I was embarrassingly upset to lose him, this is really, really good character stuff, and it was worth it. I imagine people are complaining about how slow this series is out there on the ol' internet, but I'm glad he's had time to really open up the complex relationships Miles has with his family, and explore the parallels and differences between this Spider-Man and every other Spider-Man... it's a pleasure to read.
I've been enjoying the hell out of it. Issue 10 was fantastic and the relationship between Miles and his uncle is gold. I feel like it's inevitable that Aaron will die, but I'd love it if he was a consistent adversary for a while. The teaching/fight scene was pretty dope, but i got a little confused about what happened when Aaron pulled off Miles's mask.
Is Spider-Men really only going to be five issues?
That seems kind of small for a unique event like this.
