I searched for a thread for this movie and could only find this thread. Anyway, this movie was really wonderful. I loved it and the 3D definitely enhanced the experience for me.

saw this right after thanksgiving. gorgeous cinematography, flawless direction and a compelling story devoted to the history of film. the 3d is fantastic and just adds to the overall experience. I'd put it only behind Drive for films this year, and even then it's almost dead even and hard to compare because of just how different they are. as for Scorsese films themselves, i'd put it behind Gangs of New York and Taxi Driver and just about even with Goodfellas in terms of quality (and i adore scorsese as a director).

i have twitter now. follow for random musing on sports, movies and other stuff.

I've also begun a movie review blog. reviewing both new movies as well as older favorites.

i saw this last night...so a few things...

    1) the 3D was awesome. probably the best part of the film
    2) i have to ask....who is this movie made for? kids aren't going to enjoy this.....teenagers aren't going to watch it either...it's too movie inside for middle america.....so may this film is for the artsy crowd and old people.

with that said, i liked it....i didn't love it.
but i'm glad this movie exists.
