    Low: Stupid goddamn headache. My migraines are well-controlled; this is probably TMJ. Need to chat up my neurologist next month. (The state of the art in migraine science these days? Pretty awesome. TMJ, still evolving.)
    I am very sorry about your headache but man, that list of highs is enviable.

    I'd be game for an exercise thread.

    Very, very sporadically these days. I believe deeply in the need for regular exercise and suspect a lot of my current complaints can be chalked up to not making the time for it of late, but... well, I haven't been able to find the time of late.

    Yesterday's HIGH/LOW

    High: Opened what I thought were four bills, only to find they were four duplicate notices that payments had been applied. Overall, a pretty productive day, even though I didn't get any writing done. Finished reading a couple of articles I'd saved to Instapaper, too. That was nice.

    Low: Two big ones. HL has taken a dramatic step backwards and we're not sure what to make of it. He needs to CONSTANTLY be touching me, which I confess, drives me mad. (Especially when I'm trying to nurse TL at the same time. I love them more than air, but I can't wait for my body to be my own again.) And I'm afraid something's wrong with Pablo. He's been vomiting fairly profusely of late and it doesn't look like his normal hairball thing. I now need to buy some kind of machine to clean the carpet in the nursery, I think. It looks like the floor in the john at CBGB in there.

    Re: High/Low

    This week's H/L and prediction of upcoming H/L;

    High:
    1. Susan and I attending the Dwell on Design show with Janice & Chad. Got some additional ideas for future living spaces. I still want to build that red rock desert get-away. Yep, I am more than a little insane.
    2. Finishing up a big project and presenting it to a task group. It's a BFD but of interest only to me and a handful of others. No general interest; boring work stuff. Presentation was about an hour ago and it was well received. I like my job a lot. Mostly.
    3. Dinner last night. Gawdammit, it was good. Vegetarian pasta with scratch made sauce.
    4. Finalizing plans to attend a 4 year olds birthday in Sept.
    5. Tonight's late evening hike to top of Cowell's Peak.
    6. Chat with mom.
    7. The BBQ before SDCC

    Lows
    1. Making appt with specialist for oral surgery.
    2. WW meeting. It will not be pretty.
    3. The weekend syphian chores list.
    4. Chat with mom. She's getting more feeble by the day.
    5. Unable to attend SDCC. It's really bumming me out, man.

    Maybe the surgery brought it on? That stuff can be pretty traumatizing.

    So sorry. It's always the wrong one.

    That we're going to miss this is my low for July.

    A high note from the other day was Janice surprising me with a copy of the Absolute edition of Darwyn Cooke's New Frontier, which is completely gorgeous. It's the kind of thing I wish there were more of in DC, even though they seem to be moving away from it.

    Also, I'm back off nights now, which is nice even if I managed to oversleep this morning.

    Many friendly neighborhood hardware stores and occasionally grocery stores will rent you a steam cleaner.

    This message brought to you by a friendly neighborhood hardware store owner's kid.

    High(s):
    - Wrote four thousand words of a decent first draft of a thing.
    - New comics (Friday is new comics day in Australia, because of shipping).
    - Golden Age Flash t-shirt, which looks cool regardless.

    Low(s):
    - Maxed out private health insurance coverage of physio.
    - Ladyfriend is still sick.
    - Horrible, textbook anxiety revealing/inducing dream.

    Heh, maybe the order of these should be reversed, less depressing.

    Re: High/Low

    The past few days have been eventful.

    High:
    I got a new-to-me car. The research said it was good, it tested well, and it wasn't that much over budget.
    Finished my first summer session of classes with an A.
    Looking forward to taking a trip tonight to visit friends/family for the weekend.

    Low:
    Major argument with my boyfriend last night, but it was redeemed with a positive outcome. So, not such a low low, after all.

    High: Reviewed Uncanny 539 over on our blog (http://www.colliercomics.com/wordpress/). Still feeling out blogging as my situation changes; I don't want to make every new comics day a deathmarch through the bag, and I want to keep saying things that need to be said.

    Also, cleaned the bathroom.

    Low: Still randomly bonking from things like cleaning the bathroom, which then required three hours of sleep. Guess I still need to pace myself while my inconvenience works itself out.

    Re: High/Low

    High: Got trees, shrubs and flowers planted in the newly modified brick planter. Back yard looks pretty good. Also, made some tasty cornbread in the newly acquired vintage iron skillet.

    Low: Had to go to the market THREE times before I got everything I needed to make dinner. My mind was apparently someplace else.
