It's what they smoke in Tron-world.
Dude came in my comic shop some months back and courteously asked if it was cool if he smoked his robot cigarette in the store. At the time I'd never heard of them, but he explained they generated no real smoke and just emitted some small amount of vapor. I said, "okay."
And indeed, no smoke, no health risks.
But it was the weirdest damn thing. He went through all the normal physical actions and gestures of smoking and there was a clear little puff of vapor that looked enough like smoke to make it seem very wrong. It really bugged me. The guy wasn't being a jerk or anything, but my mind was screaming, "he's smoking in the store."
Do they produce ash?
