Unlikely, I'd say.
Hi Dan,
Over the past few decades following her introduction, Silver Sable has been portrayed as a no nonsense mercenary in the Amazing Spiderman. They have worked together on occasion and against each other. Silver works for money while Spidey doesn't with regards to crime fighting. While she will not admit it, it seems that Silver Sable likes Spiderman a lot; and the felling might be mutual. She also have a lot in common with him as well, such as a lot of a loved one that made them into who they are today, and their respected beliefs. Does anyone else believes that there might be a potential development of a possible mutual relationship between Silver Sable and Spiderman that might fall into the Blackcat catagory: Friends with Benefits?
This possible relationship was showcased in What if Spiderman married The Blackcat. Wouldn't it be possible to see that possible relationship between Spiderman and Silver Sable carried over into the Mainstream Marvel Universe?
In What If? (Volume 2) #20 and #21, the reader is presented with a variant version of the classic issue, in which Peter had not married Mary Jane, but instead he married the Black Cat, the marriage ends in tragedy with the death of Black Cat and Peter and Mary Jane going separate ways, but at the end seemed to lead to a possible relationship between Silver Sable and Spider-Man.
Unlikely, I'd say.
outright romance needs to happen with Sable. allies with benefits or whatever you want to call it.
I think that Spider-Man is on her hit list of men who has EARNED her respect. Although I could see it get expanded towards the other heroines I have mentioned as far as going on team-up solo missions. I sometimes feel that the heroines(like The Black Widow, Spider-Woman, Silver Sable, and Ms. Marvel) who are easily annoyed by Spider-Man's sense of humor are the ones who might be secretly interested in him. Thus, some of the heroines who have other priorities would go out of their way to contact him, as oppose to the other heroes. Also, the one thing that they have in common was that they have respectively battled Spider-Man and lost against him! So Spidey makes a worthy crime fighting partner in their eyes!
looking forward for significant interaction between them....
