GLBT comics that y'all would recommend?

I was asked this in PM, but I'm out of the loop lately.

A Distant Soil by Colleen Doran has some of that.

Anyone have any to suggest? The person asking is more into buff guys having interesting things done to them (as well they should!), but I can't see a more varied list being a bad thing either.

well, of course, "Strangers in Paradise" (available in TPB),

and any of the Maggie and Hopey storylines from "Love and Rockets"

Prism comics publishes several "adult" comics that involve "buff guys having intersting things done to them"

(the "Shop" link has the comics.

most of it isn't my cuppa. . but they are a GLBT company. .so any support of them is a good thing.

Well, for webcomics, there's Oglaf (first strip is here), which aside from being (mostly) hilarious is pretty well on the NSFW side of things.

Also, if you (and your friend) don't mind looking at something more traditional and long-form that hasn't been physically published (yet) but is partially available online, you might have a look at The Less Than Epic Adventures of TJ And Amal. The characters are wonderful, and all in all it's a lot of fun.

heh. . I like this strip (first time I've seen it, thanks).

but it doesn't seem LGBT. . it's just a sex gag strip.

a funny sex gag strip -- but not really LGBT.

    still. . thanks for linking.

Ah, you're probably right. I guess I thought of it falling under the umbrella since there are quite a few LGBT characters, and one of the more popular storylines is about a lesbian mercenary and an ice queen.

Your buddy might want to check out Eric Shannower's AGE OF BRONZE, a realistic telling of the Trojan War with a fair amount of sexuality of all stripes - including buff Achilles and Patroclus. At the same time, it's relatively tasteful. Nothing super explicit, it just doesn't shy away from sexuality at all.

Excellent work . I haven't read all the issues but I recommend it.

It really is for a friend. XD If I was asking directly for myself, I'd just ask. He didn't ask me to ask, either, I just have no problem asking for directions. X:

    But thanks!

I've said this before but After School Nightmare is a fucking masterpiece and I think it technically falls under the banner you're looking for. Just be prepared for a healthy dose of Cronenberg-esque mindfucking.
