My oldest son (4 years old) asked...

if he could have a statue in his room. He said he had room for 6 statues on his chest and initially selected the Deluxe Ant-Man, Metallic Captain America, and Classic Iron Man (just picked those based on the characters as he likes the Avengers cartoon and they were among the available ones he could see - I'm reorganizing).

I finally succumbed and said I would put one in his room and we went with the Iron Man statue.

It was the first thing he showed my wife when she woke up the next morning and to his grandparents when they came over.

He has asked if I'd let him have the "growing" Ant Man statue...I told him let's make sure he can take care of the first one for a little longer than 2 days.

It's great that he shows an interest in your hobby.

Hopefully,he will resist the urge to "play" with them.

He seems to understand that. My concern being that accident or some toy flying across the room, but so far so good and it's been almost a WEEK!

He keeps asking for Ant Man though.

At least he's not asking for Emma Frost.

I have a cap, wolverine, and iron man in my sons room.

He is real careful so far

I'm wondering if I should "invest" in some display cases...prevent accidental flying balls from nailing it.

    I'd think so.

My nephews and nieces have been very careful with our collection, even at a very young age (just learning to walk). There has been a time or two, that they'll pick one up. But there's never been an accident with any piece.

It's amazing how different kids are who grow up around it than those who see it for the first time.

My wife bought me these two little bobble heads of Spider-Man / Green Goblin and my boys never messed with them. At most they'd hold them, but the set cost all of $10. Some friends of his came over and the boy grabbed them by the feet and head and just pulled stretching the wire out, right in front of me. Just silly stuff like that...like that was what you are supposed to do with it. *sigh

No biggie, but a valuable lesson. I put stuff up now when kids come over, heck even some of my kids' toys.
