    1. West from Appomattox - Heather Cox Richardson

A synthesis of US political history from the Civil War to Theodore Roosevelt that attempts to integrate the West. Not as original as I thought it'd be, but solid. First book I read on my Ipad.

    1. Basketball on Paper by Dean Oliver
    2. (currently reading) Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith

One of the last books I read from last year was Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Grahame-Smith, so I am really looking forward to P&P&Z. First few chapters so far have been pretty funny. I'm familiar enough with the original story that I should catch many of the commonalities.

    3. The Girl Who Chased the Moon, Sarah Addison Allen (01/10/11)

Now I'm reading Soulless by Gail Carriger.

I loved P&P&Z, partly because of my love for P&P. The original story is there, mostly unchanged other than parts being removed. Grahame-Smith manages to insert his story written in Austen's style, which was fantastic.

I'd also like to see the short stories you read (select stories from anthologies, if you don't read the whole book), perhaps in a separate list.

    4. Watch Your Back! - Donald E. Westlake

It occurs to me that the Dortmunder books are like what Seinfeld would be, if Jerry and the gang were all gentleman thiefs.

That's enough to make me want to read them. Thanks!

Westlake was so good. Miss that guy.
