I definitely think the transition was jarring. Hopefully they'll do a flashback or something to explain whatever happened to the original kids. One of the upcoming episodes sounds like it'll try and fill in some of the gaps:

I liked the ep. Not thrilled about breaking up Superboy and MM so quick, but maybe we'll get a good story.
I like almost all the additions, except for following the DCNU trend (No Donna, No Wally).
Good to see Changeling, Blue Beetle, Lagoon Boy, and Robin/Drake.
Zatanna grew up well.We'll see more of what happens later, obviously, but I liked it.
Anyone else notice the aliens in this ep looked a whole lot like the critters from Cadmus?

Understood. But for my generation, I'm sure you'll understand why I'd rather have Cassie. And really it's not like there won't be a new Wonder Girl to replace Cassie in the decades to come.

Eh, costumes are only as good as the panel they're drawn in. Almost any outfit can look good or bad.
I actually hadn't noticed that, but now that you've pointed it out my "Cazy Fan Theory" cycle is doing overtime. I'll let you all know what I've got once I whittle the number down to something manageable.
Life is like a roller coaster. It has its ups and downs, but if you sit back and relax you get a heck of a ride.
