Different guy played Face in the A-Team pilot. Until BSG was canceled and the network needed to find a new place to put Starbuck, whom they had under contract. The rest is history!
The Dollhouse pilot was almost the entire first season stuffed into a single hour. Way more of a proof of concept than a well-told story. The actual show was much more decompressed.

I'm pretty sure Battlestar Galactica was off the air at least five years before the A-Team was created.

Family Matters was infamous for this. The youngest daughter, Judy, was recast after the pilot and written out with no on-screen explanation after season 4. To say nothing of the mom being recast for the final season, and the recasting of the mom's sister's kid after the first season.
Being Human's pilot only had one of the original three actors stay on once the series was commissioned (Russell Tovey aka George the werewolf).
And also Dr. Boyce, Lt. Tyler, Yeoman Colt.
Really, the only two cast members that made it to the regular series were Spock and Majel Barrett returned but in a different role.
