Enjoyed the episode but it felt like something was missing the whole time.

The chemistry is off. The sense that the Brothers would do anything for each other is gone, it's too strained. They don't even like each other anymore.
The witty, funny banter was sucked out of the show last season too. Hopefully the writers find a way to get it back.
Yeah gotta say that was disappointing in the extreme. I was pumped for Dean to hunt a monster in his neighborhood and psyched when Yellow Eyes came back but as soon as Sam appeared it sucked all the fun out.
No Castiel. No Humor. Bleh monsters. More mysterious resurrections. New uninteresting side characters.
Death has less meaning on Supernatural than it does in comics.
The only thing that has me semi-interested is the capturing of the djinni chick.
Hopefully it was just a misstep and the ship is quickly righted but this was a bad foot to start on.
