Best played “Jar Jar,” his most well-know character, in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, as well as several other versions of the franchise. He has made numerous other television and movie guest appearances, including spots on “Cougar Town,” “Alias” and This Can't Be My Life

I met him at San Diego this year. A buddy of mine does some martial arts related comics and some low budget films, and I went over to say hello to him, and he was talking to this other guy. He says "Steve, I want you to meet my friend, Ahmed Best, he's an actor doing some voiceover work for us." I was like, "You're Ahmed Best?" "Yeah" "You're Jar Jar Binks!" He laughed, couldn't have been a nicer guy, we talked comics for a few minutes before he had to run.

I hate Jar-Jar, but I got nothing against the actor. I wish him well and hope the convention goers treat him with respect.
