Dreadstar was incredible and nobody wrote Warlock and Thanos better than he did.
His recent Hawkman special really missed the mark for me, though :/
Jim Starlin is one of the best comic writers/artists at times and at others.... not so much. His 70's marvel work has never been surpased and death of captain marvel is still one fo the greatest stories ever. His recent work has not been up to par with his previous work but we can look back on his earlier work and be amazed still.
What do you like best and least about his writing? Favourite works? Least favourite?
My favourite is his warlock stories from the 70's and death of captain marvel. My least favourite is death of the new gods.

Dreadstar. omg. Dreadstar!
I can't type as much as I'd like to at work. But I did in the thread I started in the Classic Comics forum of CBR.

Spoiler:
Another vote for Dreadstar but like yourself "The death of Captain Marvel" is still my all time best story from himalso loved the books. he co wrote with his wife too.I find him as a person very cool to walk away from DC twice the first time over them killing off Robin then over Hawkman
That original Warlock run is just mind-boggling. I am amazed at some of the stuff he got away with...especially when Warlock "wins" by essentially committing suicide.
