My neighbours used to do that.
I think someone called the cops one time and they didnt party again for a while
with loud music and drunken antics which will keep me up all night.

I wonder if I should try that. I mean, complaining isn't gonna work, usually, he'll just give some angry drunken reply. They're usually nice and helpful but when they go crazy with the partying, it's just really crazy. Like all night, getting drunk and music.
Well there'e not much you can do if it's totally out of control. You could call the cops, but if the Cops in Ontario are anything like the ones in Newfoudland they will do nothing about it.
If you can't beat em, join em?
Or wake up early when they're all hungover and mow your lawn.
wake up early and make sure you horn and alarm system on your car are working.

Afraid all I can offer is "I hear ya, pal."
I just found out that some time in the next week or so, the state is going to be shaving off and resurfacing the state highway/city street that goes past my front door. I have no way of knowing which end of the two miles or so that they're going to be doing they're going to be starting at (I'm a quarter mile or so from one end), AND -- since it's a major route into downtown and they don't want to screw up traffic -- they're going to be doing the work between 7 PM and 5 AM.
Oh... and since they're NOT going to be detouring traffic, but keeping one lane open at all times, each section will take LONGER than it would if they shut that section down and did the whole chunk at once.
Believe me, T_L, I *DO* feel you pain (or, at least, I will soon)!
Oh... and I DO like the "mow your lawn at 6:30 in the morning" idea!
I'm not really into loud parties and I don't even know most of those people, ehck I probably wouldn't be let in anyways. I'm not gonna call the police because well, they're really nice people for the most part and they're having fun today so hey, what can you do?
Also, Mike, that sounds really bad man, are they taking anyone's house down for that, too?
After last night's election result, I woke up to my neighbour blasting out Neil Young albums full volume.
