So my wife started listening to country music. At first, I thought she was listening to Nickleback nonstop. Why does all country music sound like lame ass soft rock from ten years ago?
And more importantly, why do woman who were raised on hard rock turn country in their thirties? Anyone else aware of this phenomena?
Tonight, I was looking at Facebook and saw some picks of this girl I went to high school with line dancing at a country club. In high school, this chick was the original goth. She was goth before there was a name for it. She turned me on to Bauhaus, Susie and the Banshees, Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, and all of the underground cutting edge music of the day. She was an Anne Rice reading, black lipstick wearing, all vamped out all American goth. The chick was into having orgies in graveyards for fucks sake.
And now she lists Rascal Flats as her favorite band on Facebook.
And it's not just her and my wife. Almost all of my wife's hard rock friends are now listening to Lady Antebellum.
Seriously, What The Fuck.
