Besides Comics.....

What do you do as a hobby? What are you into? I thought this would be a cool thread to share each others interests a bit more, since it's pretty much a given that everyone here has enjoyed comics at some point.

As for me, I'm a writer. Just not a successful one. I'm in college, and I hope to really make it one day. I write mostly songs, short stories and poetry, but I'm working on my first novel. I would also like to write plays, films, shows, and comics at one point. I truly, truly, love reading and writing.

I also play guitar, and have been playing for 10 years now. When I was younger, I used to want to make it in music but I think it is something that's so hard to make it, and not worth the time if you don't. So I mostly play for fun now. I also know a bit of bass and drums. I really want to learn the piano well. As some of you might have gleaned by now, I'm a huge music fan and I love pretty much every genre.

I also skateboard sometimes, I mostly quit because I don't have the time for it anymore.

Beyond that, I generally just love to be with my girlfriend and our dog, watch films, and stand-up.

Um, I sew mostly costuming of some type. Medieval, victorian, cosplay. (though I've ventured into toys and plushies lately).
I bake and cook and make other people eat my food.
I have a hooping class every week, and do it to try and stay fit, and have discovered that it is in fact rather cult like. (no, really, you should all try it, it's awesome)
I read A LOT. Pretty much whatever I can get my hands on.

Oh my gosh, I was thinking about making the same thread but I had to do something here at work

Photography, cooking, videogames if I have the time, a couple of other things. Its mostly photography and cooking though. I gotta eat so I end up cooking but I love doing it and I wish I had another lifetime to devote to it. My wife just got me a spiffy telescope for my birthday so astronomy/astrophotography as well although I need to get out of the city and away from the light pollution.

Photography is more than just a hobby for me though. Is loving your partner a hobby? Is breathing a hobby? That sort of thing. I was at a Gloria Jeans a couple of weeks ago where they asked me not to take photos (I always have a camera with me and I always take photos). I totally respect their decision and I never put up a fight when someone asks me not take pictures but its like telling me to not breathe. It feels wrong for me.

That's cool man. I've also got an interest in Astronomy, but where I live light pollution is a major problem. Good luck with your photography and I hope it takes you far.
