IF, and yeah it's a big IF, Favre has indeed played his last game, the Bears and Vikings are now fighting it out for #2 in the division and a wild card spot in the playoffs.

not expecting much more than six wins from the seahawks this year. they have too many needs. hopeful, though, that they can turn things around in a year or two.

edit: of course, in the NFC west, i suppose that puts them still in the playoff hunt. i don't think any of the teams in that division win more than 9 games.

I'm hoping for big things from Ndamakong Suh in his rookie season.

Hopefully Matt Stafford will start to deliver killer passes too.

I think the Lions might win as many as six or seven this year!

We might finally have a mediocre season rather than a disgraceful one - YAAAH!

Oh, the world cup is over? So we can talk about REAL football again?

I'm hoping for the Giants to go big this year. I have faith.

I wouldn't call the NFL REAL football as the ball is kicked about 10 times in a game.

At least in proper football the ball is kicked around a bit.

I know. I just love cheesing off Brits by calling it football instead of "American football".

I'm not sure it's the best idea either but...it's very Belichick, I think. Clean slate, work hard, back to square one. New year, no resting on any past victories.

I am really interested in watching the games with the Jets. And I'm hoping Revis continues his hold-out.

I don't think that holdout is going to last long. The Jets want Revis badly, but they have to pay for it. I wonder if someone will restructure their contract to help sign Revis for his asking price.
