Heh. Rich Johnston seemed to imply that this would destroy the world, moving this board here.
Well, if what's happened so far is any indication, that may be a while away.
Truth is, I'm having a blast here. The other creators here have been very welcoming, Brian's been great, some of my best pro friends have dropped by with lots more coming...
And man, the posters are awesome.
Seriously, I'm having a great time.
Some of the Benbo people are already essential and I can't wait to read what Das and Omega and Rawd and C. Page and a bunch of others (not forgetting names, I just woke up!) are going to write. You guys kick ass, thank you for the welcome and now you have to stick around because of the awesomeness.
And I'm REALLY happy that almost all my favorites from CBR have shown up. I hope you guys continue to hang here and give this a try. To me, it really seems like the old days of CBR, when the boards were more about fun than just mean snarking all the time. It's pretty awesome.
Thanks everyone for being so great and making this transition not just painless, but a lot of good fun all the way around. I haven't enjoyed a message board this much in years.

I was rather shocked when the move was announced, but I'm really enjoying it here.
It's nearly like YABS.... just bluer.

"Tell me that a fit fortyish woman with 25+ years of experience at sea and several decades of live bladefighting practice under her belt isn’t a threat when she runs across the deck toward you, and I’ll tell you something in return— you’re gonna die of stab wounds." - Scott Lynch
What makes me happy is how well the Benbo and CBR people interact already.
Nice people attract nice people, I guess!
