    Syndication and reruns mostly.

There were attempts to revive the series, mostly with recasting of the supporting roles, but they never really caught on and they're seldom shown today.

I thought we were talking about great shows...

Andy Barker PI lasted something like 8 episodes. Man, did they ever go balls out with their pilot. The whole thing was fairly funny, but relied on a single joke that you either loved or hated. I loved it, but my wife hated it... and her interests and sense of humour are more closely attuned to that of the general public.

    Ah, I see.

Frisky Dingo definately. It was really funny if you don't mind offensive humor.

Some of my favorites have already been mentioned (Firefly and Undeclared for example).

Here's a few more series that left before their time:

    Greg the Bunny
    The Tick
    Clerks the Animated Series
Lucy, The Daughter of the Devil (I think this is technically in limbo, but its been so long I think its safe to say this is over)

Roar - Heath Ledger's intro to American TV. Not only was it only one season, it was a summer series at that. Still, it was good fun and visually nifty. I think it just got lost against the established historical fantasy series like Xena and Hercules.

Heh, I actually quite liked the show, but it would have probably done better as a spin off. I mean, you got that awesome series finale and than make another season?

Was Now & Again the one where John Goodman got pushed in front of a subway train and had his brain implanted in the younger bloke's body and was then sent off to do missions but kept sloping off to see his wife and then did a runner with her and the daughter and that's where they left it? If it is then I liked that and BASTARDS! for cancelling it.

If not then what was that?

That's exactly what it was. I think I've watched each episode about a million times and they never stopped being fantastic. Like Journeyman, the show had this great sci fi set up, but was also so human and had so much heart. Plus, it had a fantastic cast. I still miss it.

Oh, and I forgot to put Pasadena on my list. That was a really fun nighttime soap that unfortunately aired before nighttime soaps made their huge comeback. It was another show with a great cast, and a story arc where Nathan Fillion played a minister. Great stuff!

I LOVED Now & Again, though I think it lasted two seasons.

And then ended it on a cliffhanger as well--Newman went on the run with his wife and daughter with the future President of the United States in tow <g>. We never got an ending to that.

I'd add in The Class: great sitcom by the people that did Friends.
Apparently the story goes that it came down to either that show or How I Met Your Mother, which was just hitting its stride in season two. I think they made the right choice.
