main thing, is that it really runs 24 hours for 4 1/2 days. . there truly is something to do at 4am on Friday night (be it dances, anime, movie room, party, drum circle, etc).
and it's REALLY spread out. . so if have multiple interests (across multiple tracks) expect to do a lot of walking! This is my 15th (16th?. . I lose track), and I don't really go to panels any more. . . mainly I hang w/ friends, drink, go to the dealer's rooms (there's usually THREE. . so make sure you don't miss one of em), and party.
Lot's of changes this year too (biggest one is that Eric is no longer in charge of the Star Trek Track -- Garrett Wang (yes, from Voyager) is the guy in charge).
The YABS/CBR folks typically meet up in the Hyatt Bar on Saturday at 1 to go to a lunch. .. . .hopefully you can make it!

with so many guests, it's great.
re: the Xena track -- it was so many fan panels, that the attendance just died off. and when the show went off the air, that was that.
I have some great pics of me and Alexandra Tydings (Aphrodite) from a panel a bunch of years back.
it's still part of the American Sci-Fi/Fantasy track, there's usually at least 1 Xena/Hercules panel during the con -- especially if Ted/Sam Raimi or Bruce Campell is attending the con.

I'm going! The I Dream of Jeannie reunion flat out rocks! And Joel from MST3K! (The other cast members tour conventions quite a bit, but JOEL hardly ever does!!)

First time run for me, too.
Was that the year she was there with Claudia Christian, promoting the new show they were trying to get made? I have an Aphrodite trading card she signed at that con. I still have it framed in my cubicle at work.
I made a fan site for that show. Had it up for a couple of years, but took it down when it became obvious it would never get made.
I wish. But I've taken a week off from work in July and August. If I tried to take any more days off in September my boss'd kick me in the dice.
