The First Time I Met Gail...

I met Gail for the first time face to face during Wonder Woman Day in Portland, I went to go see her with my Cousin.

I hope she's going to be there again this year, because I plan to go.

Darediva, now "The Darediva" was there.
God, the list goes on and on... WAY too much fun.

My first encounter with the being known as Gail has best been documented in the tale "The Call of Cthulhu" by H.P. Lovecraft.

Last year at Comic-Con. She was participating in an ethnic minorities in comics panel along with Dwayne McDuffie and the creators of "Secret Identities". I saw her waiting in the back before the panel and I told her I loved her work. Then I scuttled away like the scaredy cat that I am.

The first time I met Gail, I was a contestant on Hollywood Squares and she was the center square. Knowing as I did that she always lies, I disagreed with all her answers and won a catamaran. It was the second-best Arbor Day ever.

The first (and only) time I met Gail, I was at NYCC, and walking down a hallway (after having exited the ladies' room), and passed her as she walked past. I said "Hi," and she said "Hello, there."

Not really the most entertaining story, I admit.

I saw Gail a one time. I was happy and slightly suprised since NO ONE good hardly ever comes to Ireland. I got a gross bus up to Dublin, wandered around for hours and then it was Gail time. She was a nice lady and said she liked my hair (even though it was in what I might consider to be it's weirdest stage). The she signed my Secret Six and promised more topless Catman, which she delivered yay.

I have yet to meet Gail face to face, but the first time I met here real-time connection to real-time connection she was having difficulty finding something on STO and I helped her ... by giving her three ways to do it with the third and final method being the actual straight-forward one. She called me weird, for which I thanked her heartily and then gifted her with the gift that keeps on giving: a tribble. A hideous transporter 'accident' soon followed but my CMO tells me that they'll grow back ...

Given your love of swords and combat, I was assuming your post would say "The first time I met Gail....I had her head mounted on my wall as a trophy."
