    <peers around>

And just after I finally posted on the YABS intro thread after hanging out there for 10 months.

    So now I'm on time

I'm Sue the Frustrated Writer (tm), a pudgy, happily married middle aged woman from NJ where I manage a medical research facility where I've worked since 91. I've been collecting comics since the early 70s, and I work out my writing frustrations by playing and running RPGs which I've been doing since 76.

No kids, two adorable dogs and a tank full of dwarf seahorses. Think that sums me up!

Oh! And I'm not a sock puppet!

I'm Liana. I'm mostly a fictional character. I tend to avoid message boards like this these days, because of fear of GotIS (girl on the internet syndrome). But I love Gail, so here I am.

I'm a big geek. In fact, I consider myself a professional geek. But I make money in TV. I like being a geek better.

    Hi all!
There will be no Girl on the Internet Syndrome here, Liana. And thanks for coming by!

For the folks who don't know, Liana is one half of the amazing Canadian phenomenon Ed And Red, from Ed and Red's Night Party and many other shows. She is an amazing geek, a master cosplayer and an insane video gamer and is just all around awesome.

Should have put the below posting here in the first place!

    So since I'm starting over...
I'm Bryan J.L. Glass, writer guy!

"Fantasy is Impossible" is the title of Gail's way-terrific Introduction to MICE TEMPLAR Volume 2.1: DESTINY where she offers so many clever insights into the fantasy genre and why it so often fails.

Thankfully, she thinks the MICE TEMPLAR team is doing OK!

Thanks, Gail, for the personal invite to come visit you here at your new internet home! Keep it rockin' and keep it mostly true!

And since you asked us to plug our current gigs: my new series THOR: FIRST THUNDER is going to shake the pillars of Asgard this September 15!
    Hope you likes!

    Naughty Tempter!

I write and draw comic books, writer articles about creator rights, and do volunteer work as an advocate. I will be spending a few months in Washington DC this fall lobbying.

You can see my work in Amazing Spider-Man 600, Girl Comics #2, Orbiter, past issues of Wonder Woman, Lucifer, and Sandman, among others.

Currently, I am illustrating a graphic novel for Vertigo called Gone to Amerikay, written by the outstanding write Derek McCulloch. This 140 page original GN will be out in 2012, and is a multi-generational epic of Irish immigration.

I am also working on a new GN with best-selling young adult novelist Barry Lyga for Houghton Mifflin. I will be finished with this by October.

On the back burner, but still in progress, Stealth Tribes with Warren Ellis, another original GN. He was bogged down with other work, then I got bogged down, but my bogged-downing-ness will be over in October and I can get back to it.

I also write and draw A Distant Soil for Image Comics, and you can read it for free at my website.

Many good wishes to Gail and all the Yabsters. Good luck on your new venture in your new home!

    c

Colleen is one of my heroes (she should be one of yours, too, if you have ANY SENSE OR TASTE AT ALL) and everything she touches is made more awesome.

Please buy her work and send her money!
