Hey, I'm Malisteen, former art student, former comic shop employee, current math student & receptionist. Lurked on & off at YABS - some registration problem prevented me from posting, and I never got around to fixing it. I became a fan of Gails work a while back, and am trying to become more familiar with the names behind the comics I like.

I'm a casual nerd - into the full spectrum of nerd hobbies - cartoons (anime and otherwise), video games, comics, tabletop rpgs, minis games, and so on - but not too deeply into any one of them. Have an art degree that I was never able to channel into anything meaningful, and I'm back in school to get a more functional piece of paper.

I still harbor some aspirations of putting together a web comic, and am currently attempting to re-train my very rusty and very limited artistic skills.

Hi, I'm Chris, Nerdy Journalist, Comic Editor, Drunken stooge.
Most of my time lately has been spent working on launching a good comic news thing but I also work for the Modern Method Network writing about toys for Tomopop and might eventually branch out to do more. Currently my biggest priority is getting the comic thing off the ground as it's always been a dream of mine to come up with big plans and actually accomplish them. This might end up being the first time it's ever happened. Because I'm pretty much a lazy douchebag the rest of the time.

Comics wise I don't really have a lot of preferences, I'm one of those guys that averages over $50 a week in new stuff and really just flat out loves comics. When you combine that with my obsession with buying statues toys and video games I am what is called a broke ass fool. Other than that, there isn't much else to me. I love being a massive nerd geek and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Today I finished Birds of Prey #4 and I wanted to write a note to Gail Simone. So I got online and looked for an address for her, and was bowled over when I found out about this forum.

Anyway, what I wanted to say was thank you for returning to Birds of Prey (and while I'm here also thank you for Secret Six)! I have two things to look forward to each month.

Got out of the U.S. Army after 14 years. I've been to Israel, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Iraq, all while being stationed a couple of places in Germany.

I mainly buy DC titles like Brightest Day, Secret Six, Warlord (why did they cancel it?), and Justice League of America. At Marvel, Incredible Hulk, and whatever Abnett and Lanning do with the Inhumans, Thunderbolts, and the occasional one-shot. (Galacta was fun.)

Jinxworld seems to be a fun board, although wild, it is very respectful, and that's refreshing.

Bit of trivia: I was the first customer ever at my local comics shop.

Hello all. This is my first post here. Some of you know me from the CBR board, and maybe some others from Digital Webbing or Comicspace. I'm an American, I live in north Georgia. I am a virgo, I'm partial to red, I got a wife and a little boy who is the awesomest kid I've ever met. I like to draw and am working toward getting my own graphic novel out some year. I'm currently working on another's story but I thrive on feedback and like reading/lurking in threads like these because it's fun and you guys never seem to stop being diverse and interesting.
