I really prefer Ultimate Thor and Ultimate Cap to their movie versions, but the movie versions are fine. 616 has the lamest versions of them all.

With regards to some of the stuff regarding India, I wouldn't say it's people trying to create a controversy as much as people asking why India, as modern as it is, is often relegated to being shown as nothing but slums and sickness in film.

(On a side note, Ghost Protocol did a good job of side-stepping the stereotypical "Indian Slums" theme... that's one of the only films that I can think of in recent memory.)

Anyone know why the movie's taking so long to open in Japan? That would seem like an ideal market for this type of film.

From what I read there's a specialized promotion campaign for it.

I agree that it can be a problem, but I don't think Avengers is the right movie to point at since it makes a whole lot of sense for Bruce to be in that particular part of India and it only spends a very short time in the country. I would hope that everyone knows it's not representative of the country as a whole. I get, though, that people would want to use Avengers as a soapbox since it's such a huge film.
