I may have worded that poorly. I meant he's not shitting on a specific creator from the big 2 by naming the book. Unless I'm missing something and it's super obvious.

I think Bendis's point is that by making a blanket statement about "super-hero comics" you are, by default, talking about "the big two".

Yes. I know. There are a TON of super-hero comics outside Marvel and DC, but when you generalize about super-hero comics you are almost definitely talking about Marvel and DC.

You're not a name creator in the industry. Don't worry, I will bring this all up at our panel together in sd

So, when do we get the Mark Waid/Alan Moore contest to see who's the most irritable comic creator?
If you so desire, take a look at my blog at: http://treykrimsinblog.blogspot.com/

Waid is bitching about other people's books because there's a "cynicism to many of them that I find exhausting and mean-spirited and uninspiring and life-denying"?

This from the guy who's crapping out Irredeemable, a book where the Superman-figure is murdering other heroes and their families? Frying small children alive?

    Yeesh.

I guess this means he will never write Superman now.

The big 2 leave a lot to be desired right now but I don't see why an announcement has to be made about it. Read shit and enjoy it or just read something else.
