Greg Weisman To Produce Young Justice Animated Series

I liked it. With the expanded team it is almost like JLU: Teen Titans edition. Interesting that they still only refer to themselves as "The Team" after five years.

Also, with the 5 year jump, I wonder if the comic will make the jump also, or if Weisman will use it to fill in that gap. If so, I might have to start picking it up.

There's a lot of ground to cover in the comic still (they're less than halfway through the season in the comics, I think), but that's an interesting question.

the time jump is odd but certainly leaves plenty of opportunity for storytelling.

Plus, how can you hate Jaime arguing with the scarab?!

Finally watched it today. It was ok. Not really a fan of the time jump. And in retrospect it makes last week's episode weaker. Rocket got shitted on. Bringing her in for 2 episodes with maybe 30 seconds worth of dialogue was a waste. Even still, it was great seeing her and Icon animated. Hopefully she and Zatanna get a little screen time with the league this season.
I don't get why Superboy, Nightwing and Miss Martian would stay on the team and not join the league. It's like those guys that graduate from high school but still hang out in the parking lot for years after.
Blue Beetle was interesting and pretty funny.

I fell behind. Had so many episodes stockpiled on my DVR after waiting for the show to come back after its long weird hiatus, that I decided to rewatch all the older episodes before I get to the new stuff. I guess the great aspect of the hiatus is the fact that there was only one week between seasons, heh. I hope they don't run into anymore weird scheduling with this show. After getting up to "Denial" last night, it really has all the ingredients to be great.

Why would it? The team isn't there to just dick around, they're a stealth team. They probably wanted a direct hand in making sure things stay smoothly in their missions, and it's a lot easier to run it directly like Red Tornado or Batman did.

Responded to some else about this. It's weak justification. The team is supposed to be developing their skill sets and learning how to operate on their own, constantly having the three of them stepping in and taking control stunts their development.
