Greg Weisman To Produce Young Justice Animated Series

This all-new series is produced by Warner Bros. Animation and based upon characters from DC Comics.

Sam Register (Teen Titans, Ben 10, Batman: The Brave and the Bold) is the executive producer. Brandon Vietti (Batman: Under the Red Hood, Superman Doomsday, The Batman) and Greg Weisman (Gargoyles, The Spectacular Spider-Man, W.I.T.C.H.) are the producers.

Marvel's loss is DC's gain here.

Now, I'm way more excited for the Young Justice cartoon than I am for the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon.

Big mistake, Marvel/Disney. Spectacular Spider-Man was the first good cartoon to ever come out of a Marvel character and cancelling it just because or corporate restructuring is sad.

But I'm just excited they're calling this "Young Justice", and not the silly "Young Justice League" it was called a few months ago.

Oh, and I bet Dan Didio is throwing a fit over this, and Peter David is smirking to himself, and hoping he gets some sort of check.
