Looks better than I imagined!!!
This has all been so surreal. I've worked on video games/computer games before (2 Scooby Doo games for multiple home consoles, 1 Scooby Doo and 2 Batman games for PC), but the reception/reaction this game has gotten in just ONE day of being officially announced is blowing my mind.
Most of my day is spent dealing w/ the process & politics of comics...
...and I know it's OBVIOUS to everyone else, but the video game market is SUCH a bigger pond. It's something you know... but a day like yesterday is a real eye-opener/reminder of that in real world terms.![]()

Looking forward to seeing the Noir universe and 2099 getting some love.
Don't even try to deny it, Dan. We all know Miguel's gotta be in there.
Have no idea what the fourth dimension could be. Ultimate Spider-Man probably isn't visually different just enough (close but not 100%) to make the mark.
Really kind of hoping it's not 1602.

I get this all the time. They say, "You really hate Daredevil. Look how mean you are to Daredevil." I'm like, "Would you really buy a book about him enjoying a sandwich? 'What a great sandwich. I'm going to eat this for 22 pages, and I'm going to be so happy.'" I may do it just to prove a point. Have Wolverine going, "This is the best bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich I've ever had in my life!"

Dan, did you come up with the idea of using Noir Spider-Man and the other alternate universe Spider-Men or did the developers already approach you with that general concept/idea?
I have no idea how these sort of things come together.

Sorry, I've been burned too many times by video game adaptations of comic books.
The original X-Men game for the Genesis was good and Arkham Asylum was good. The rest have been so-so at best.
I will watch a mediocre movie or read a mediocre comic if it is part of a wider universe that I really love, but comic book games, in my experience, all exist in a void from each other. If I'm going to buy it, it's got to be on its merits as a video game. There is no tie-in hook, which is what typically works so well on me.
By the way, my favourite moment of the most recent Mighty Avengers issue (though I just skimmed it before deciding I'd wait for trade, so there might have been other great stuff), was Pym's line about putting on a brave face to explain the team's other appearances in spite of their apparent break-up. That's where the wider universe thing really sells me. I guess that's a bit of an aside.
