This week we're hopping into our Invisible Jets and heading off to Paradise Island to re-imagine/redesign one of DC's great icons, Wonder Woman.
There's no poll this week, instead we're going to work on the characters in the order in which place they polled in (next week will be Green Goblin).
Also, if you have any suggestions for who you want to redesign, or who you want to see redesigned- please, feel free to PM me.

Here is my offering.
Thoughts: Like most of the redisigns I have tried, I tried to incorporate elements of other designs that I loved. The breastplate is from Kingdom Come. The skirt and cape are bsaically Alex Ross as well. I wanted to giver her something besides booty shorts, but didn't want to totally armor her up. I love Wonder Woman as a fierce warrior, but kind of hate her with swords, spears, etc. So I focused on bracelets/magic lasso.
Hope you guys like it.
My main goal with this was to tweak her costume and make it look more like a Classic Greek warrior. I was inspired by a visit to the Metropolitan's Greek Sculpture Garden. I made her hair look more like how women's hair is depicted in Greek art. I substituted all red in her costume with bronze (or as close to bronze as I could get with he markers and pencils in my possession). I think the lack of red went a long way towards making her look less like a rodeo woman. I also substituted gold with a more subdued steel look, befitting a warrior. I made her blue and white star bikini bottom into an under armor toga/tunic. I made her cowboy boots into shin armor, and attached it with Greek lace up sandals.

Really good start. But I've always had a problem with the stars on her skirt or bikini.
I might throw some colors and greyscale on this later. One of my biggest issues with Wonder Woman is her color scheme.

Very nice, Aaron! I love her thickness, and the halter coming out of the bodice really keeps a nice femininity to her with the warrior elements you added. You really make the Miller-esque Spartan headpiece work. And I love the Greek detailing patterns on her bracelets, I wish I had thought of that.
I can't wait to see what you do with the colors, please add them when you can .
Also the barbarian Uggs are a great addition.

Thanks!
I dig your chest plate. I was thinking of doing something similar, but since I was trying to show a WW that could kick your ass, I wanted to keep some femininity, so went with the corset. Good catch on the Uggs. I want to throw in a modern element but still have the her look old school.
