Re: Matt Fraction q&a questions please ?

    Hello John and Matt,

    My q's :
1.What's the current status of your creator's owned works? Anything coming soon?
    2. Back when I was a design student we loved every new video that Mk12 used to put out. I believe you helped founding that studio. What drove you away from high profile design works and made you make the move to comics?

    Thanks,

    Hey guys,

Excited for the conversation, as always. Usually makes for great listening.

Invincible Iron-Man has a very of-the-moment cultural, specifically "America in the early 21st Century," feel to it.

Is that a conscious authorial decision, does Stark, as a "real-world" businessman lend himself to that mood, or is that just how it all filters out onto the page?

Number two is a craft question. When telling a story what are your priorities--above all else, what do you want to come through the clearest of all of the narrative elements of a story?

    Thanks for taking the time,

    Ron

Hey guys, thanks for doing another sit down. Always look forward to them.

    Matt,

Have you had any story ideas for your Marvel work shot down because they were too "out-there" ala your Casanova work or properties?

Can you tell us how much input you had on the new Pepper mini? Any teases for it?

Once again thanks gentlemen, you're both true playas.

    Hey Matt and John!

If Tony Stark is an atheist, why did he give Thor power of attorney?

    1) Who do you see as being the 'hero' on Uncanny X-Men? Is it Scott Summers? Cause he's been acting like a bit of dick.
    2) When you took over on Uncanny it seemed as though Pixie was going to become the 'point of view' character in the book. Do you think that role is being filled by any other character at the moment?

ps - Invincible Iron Man is the best book on the shelves.

Hi John and Matt, I've always enjoyed these interviews in particular and for Matt, Iron Man is consistent with each issue, and I'm catching up on X-men in trades but I love your portrayal of Scott, because it's about time he acted like the leader he was meant to be.

Here are my questions, one regarding craft and the other on comics:

    1) I'm in the middle of assembling a script for a comic I will be working on in the future. So far I've established the begining and what the ideal end would be in terms of plotting. However, I've had troubles in terms of how much content should go in an issue. This is rather vague, but as a writer how do you know when to begin and end an issue/chapter in terms of pacing? Any suggestion you can give would be great.

    2) This is for X-men, I've enjoyed your take on Cyclops and enjoy how he's a take-no-prisoners, kind of leader. My problem was always that he was always a step from being so confident depending on who wrote him. In your process, what ideas helped you to decide to give him a stronger, leadership role?

Thanks for the show John and thanks for the great writing Matt, keep up the great work!

Hey Matt & John, I really enjoy these interviews. Matt I've been loving your work on Uncanny and Invincible Iron Man, I'm also really looking forward to your take on Thor, those one shot's you did were great.

I was wondering if you have any plans for a more definitive structured X-Men team after "Second Coming"? and if not, do you have any plans to spotlight some other X-Men characters like Nightcrawler (fingers crossed that he makes it out of "second coming" alive) or Iceman? I'd really like to see your take on those characters.

Thanks for the great stories and looking forward to what you have in store for 2010!

Hey guys. First off, thank you John for the consistently great interviews and discussions. And thank you Matt for all the great comics, and I can't wait for more Cassanova.

1.) What was it like to be a guest on The Best Show on WFMU?

2.) I'm a big fan of the Basement Tapes column you did for CBR with Joe Casey? How did it come about?

"There's a great play called 'Humulus The Mute' written by these two French authors, and it's about a dumb boy who is granted a wish that he can say one word every year -- and he falls in love with a girl he sees riding a bicycle. At the end of the play, he saves up his words for years not saying anything at all, then blurts out 'I love you, will you marry me?' and the punch-line is that she's deaf, which I find quite funny."

matt and john, i love your marathon interviews and can't wait to ignore my other responsibilities and listen to it.

i have two silly questions on one topic:

    1. with Hercules dead, will thor grow his beard back? there is a serious lack of bearded avengers.

    2. if so, will it be the typical blond person "creepy flesh colored beard"
