I really miss 80's opening theme songs too. It's a lost art.![]()
I did not know that!
He wrote 13 of the episodes and a movie (which unfortunately never got made). Such a shame the story never had an end.
Here is a plot summary of what would have happened in case there are any other Jayce fans out there:

Hair metal isn't a lost art so much as a thankfully dead fad...
This was the most confusing toy line when I was a kid. The little dudes that went in the vehicles all wore brown jump suits, and the bad guys just looked like shriveled up green grapes that happened to fit in the vehicle seats. Then you see the show and you think "Who the hell are these people? Where are the brown jumpsuits?"
That's how it was for us, anyway. The cartoon didn't actually air in our market, so we got acquainted with the toys first. I only saw the show when the fam went on vacation...
They could definately have done a better job with the figures, they almost seemed like an afterthought. All the focus was on the amazingly cool vehicles.
Man I loved those vehicles. Those and Starriors have to be my favorite toys ever, more than Transformers or any othe other toy lines that made it big.
JMS worked on He-man too. Terrible opening theme though:

And what does he mean by 'fabulous sectret powers'? He-man only has one power, he's strong. He didn't have anything else did he?
I always found that cartoon amazingly dull.
That's a show I forgot existed. I think I had some of the toys, too.
For some reason, I still get the theme song to Silverhawks stuck in my head sometimes:

BraveStarr is another good one:
