    Dave Stevens recommendations?

I just finished The Rocketeer HC and I loved every page of it. What Dave Stevens work should I read next?

Uh -- I think The Rocketeer is the only long term project he ever did.

    That's disappointing.

    He never did much!

Check out his Aurora, from Alien Worlds #2.

And I believe he also has a story in Bettie Page Comics #1.

Yeah...ROCKETEER was really the only thing he did as far as, like they said, long-term stuff. He did a LOT of covers and pin-ups (and "pin-ups" as in "girly" art).

I suggest you pick up "Brush with Passion: The Art and Life of Dave Stevens". It's a great, big, beautiful book and an excellent tribute.

I thumbed through the hardcover at Barnes & Noble last night and it made my eyes cum... It's jumped to the top of my list as soon as I can afford it. Laura Martin's colors look amazing over it.

Oh, yeah. The hardcover ROCKETEER collection is an utterly amazing book. The "DVD extras" in the back (scetchbook material, un-inked pencils, roughs, a couple of fold outs etc) are worth the extra dough. It's kind of interesting to find out how many artists (Jaime Hernedez, for example) assisted on some of the ROCKETEER stuff.

The book is now sold out at the publisher level, and pretty much everywhere online is sold out. If you see it somewhere, it should be grabbed.

I only bought the little HC. Maybe in the future I'll buy the the bigger version.
