Fortune & Glory: True Hollywood Comic GN HC.....Delays

After being delayed a month a few weeks back, yesterday it was delayed another month.

The book is now scheduled for 02/24/10

I sure am glad I preorder my books!

Is this going to be like that Powers hardcover from the not to distant past?

Are we allowed to poke fun at this w/o being suspended?

Probably won't get suspended, but a ton of folks will think that we are babies for wanting a book to come out when we are sold it.

You know... you can still buy two previous versions of the paperback and one previous hardcover.

I have. I want the color HC so I preordered it and now I might actually die before it's released.

U don't get suspended for speaking your mind here. Read the rules.

The paperstock I wanted for this had to be special ordered. The boom is colored and I will get it out the door after thrvnew year. Promise.

    It looks so good

That's just the problem. You weren't 'sold' the book, otherwise you would have it.

You 'pre-ordered' the book for arrival at a later date.

Which is just what you are getting. (albeit later than you expected).

I can't wait for the new edition. I love this book. It is the book that got me reading Bendis's work and the book that got me back into comics in a big way.

In some ways, I could argue that this book helped change the direction of my life. For one thing, it helped me make up my mind that despite having a film degree, I didn't want to work in Hollywood or as a screenwriter. I wanted to work in comics instead.

How many books can you say helped changed your life?
