Is this going to be like that Powers hardcover from the not to distant past?
Are we allowed to poke fun at this w/o being suspended?
Enjoy the chlamydia Lucielle.
Just being a jerk here and playing devils advocate : If I, or you, pre-order a book online, and they charge your credit card already, have I been sold something? When is a pizza a pizza, when you stick your hands in the dough or when you put the dough in the oven?
And I know we wouldnt be suspended for talking about it, I was just having a bit of fun asking if F & G would turn into the Powers HC situation. I have mine already pre ordered (and paid for) thru DCBS, so when it is done ill have it, be it Feb 2010 or Feb 2011
All the best...

If you ordered a 'cheese pizza', and all you got was the dough that someone stuck their hands in, would YOU consider it a 'pizza'? or just a pile of pizza dough? If they take the time to cook it, do you think you would have a pile of crusty bread, or a pizza?
(I am just fucking around, too, but please tell me that you don't consider a pile of dough 'a pizza').
As far as pre-ordering/charging the card before you get the item...do I consider that something the store sold you? Nope. I consider that THE STORE 'made a sale' (as they have guaranteed payment for when the book arrives), but until i actually have the product in my hand, I don't consider that the store 'sold' me anything. I consider it pre-payment for a product to be delivered at a later date. When it arrives, I consider that the store 'sold' me something.
Weird way of looking at it, but that's how I see it.
You know... you can still buy two previous versions of the paperback and one previous hardcover.

I can't wait for the new edition. I love this book. It is the book that got me reading Bendis's work and the book that got me back into comics in a big way.
In some ways, I could argue that this book helped change the direction of my life. For one thing, it helped me make up my mind that despite having a film degree, I didn't want to work in Hollywood or as a screenwriter.I wanted to work in comics instead.
How many books can you say helped changed your life?
